New AI ad variations may be possible without another creator shoot when the creator agrees to synthetic use, the production setup can meet the scope and the finished ads pass review. You still need the creator's context, judgment and permission. A previous filming contract or possession of footage does not establish those rights.
Availability: This is a proposed Semblanse pilot scenario. Ask whether your nominated creator and tools can be considered. We have not confirmed support for every existing partner, completed this scenario or measured savings from it.
When the scenario may fit
You already have a willing creator relationship, need a defined set of new messages, and have factual product assets and a team able to review the outputs. The ad can use a controlled presentation without pretending to show a new personal experience or physical demonstration.
The creator still helps choose relevant stories, corrects meaning, sets boundaries and reviews the agreed stages. Fresh capture or clarification may be needed. Declining synthetic use remains a valid outcome.
An illustrative brief and revision
Fictional example: Northlight Home wants two English 20-second lamp ads with Creator A for its named Instagram account in Ontario, 1–30 November 2026. Creator A agrees to face and synthetic voice use only after the tools, payment, access, retention and review terms are settled. No real customer or result is shown.
| Item | Agreed planning boundary |
|---|---|
| Creator context | Explains how they arrange a desk; no claim they tested this lamp |
| Initial draft | “This lamp fixed my sleep.” |
| Review decision | Reject: no actual experience or evidence supports that line |
| Revised message | Explain the verified dimmer control over a real product close-up |
| Final approval | Review the exact voice, captions and file before launch |
| End of term | Media buyer stops both placements; campaign owner saves confirmation |
A corrected script still needs product and final-file checks. Permission to appear does not make a claim true. Capture the source of each line in the creator-context guide.
Assign the work before production
| Owner | Responsibility to agree |
|---|---|
| Brand | Actual advertiser, claim evidence, budget, account and media scope |
| Creator | Relevant context, identity permission and agreed reviews |
| Production team | Tool feasibility, permitted sample handling, drafts and corrections |
| Campaign coordinator | Licence, decisions, payment steps, expiry and escalation records |
Our team would coordinate the proposed pilot by hand. Production help is optional and subject to scope. Do not upload existing footage to a cloning or generation tool until the relevant permissions and vendor processing are settled. Read training versus advertising rights.
When another shoot is still needed
Film when the brief needs a true product-use demonstration, the creator's physical reaction or details the synthetic workflow cannot reliably show. Use real product footage when it supplies evidence. A fresh product experience cannot be invented through a new voice line.
The filming decision guide helps choose scenes. The variant plan sets the number of concepts and versions; approval records connect decisions to exact files.
Budget and evaluation
Price creator rights and input, capture if needed, production, tool processing, corrections, review, coordination and expiry work. Media spend is separate. There is no settled Semblanse public rate; a quote must state currency, term, outputs and exclusions.
Compare total creator and team time for the same accepted outputs against a credible filmed alternative. If you test media outcomes, hold the offer, audience, spend and reporting window as comparable as possible. More generated drafts do not establish saved time or better results.
Prepare the campaign brief, read the brand service and pilot terms to discuss, then send an enquiry. It starts scoping, not a booking or a licence.
