Provider comparison

Semblanse vs Likeness.tv for licensed creator AI ads

Compare the published approaches of Semblanse and Likeness.tv to creator selection, AI ad permissions, approvals, production and availability.

Semblanse is pre-launch and recruiting for proposed paid pilots run by our team. Self-service licensing and a production API are not available.

Both Semblanse and Likeness.tv describe campaign permissions for AI ads with real people. Both are early stage. The clearest published distinction is production: Semblanse normally expects buyers to bring their tools and team, while Likeness.tv describes a planned in-platform video workflow.

Publisher disclosure: This comparison is written by Semblanse. It refers specifically to likeness.tv, checked 26 October 2026. It is not a comparison with other businesses using the word Likeness. We have not tested either approach through a completed comparative campaign.

Availability comes first

Semblanse is pre-launch and recruiting for proposed paid pilots managed by our team. There is no open self-service marketplace or production API.

Likeness.tv's business page says making videos, licensing and payouts are not available yet. Its about page says it is in development and plans a small pilot before opening more widely. Joining its waitlist is not a purchase or a licence.

Which conversation fits your brief?

Ask Likeness.tv about its planned workflow if you prefer production and licensing inside one video service. Verify its opening date, country eligibility, talent and actual review process before making a commitment.

Ask Semblanse about a pilot if the creator's context is central to the idea and you prefer your own production setup or need help assessing it. A nominated creator is a scoping question, not a guaranteed supported option. The fee, tool feasibility and review terms remain open until agreed.

What remains unknown

The reviewed pages do not establish completed-campaign results, comparable total cost, retention enforcement or delivery capacity. Neither consent nor narrow campaign scope is unique to Semblanse. Ask each team for the documents and evidence that fit your campaign instead of inferring missing controls from short website copy.

Use the brief resource and licence checklist. See the market map, planned trust process or pilot overview.

Found a factual error or a changed offer? Send a correction to the team. These pages explain buying and planning choices; they do not replace a signed agreement or advice on your campaign.
